Diary of a Wimpy Kid

I love reading the Diary of a wimpy kid books. I also really like the movie. My favorite part of the Hard Luck book is when Greg’s grandmother is a fortune teller.

In the movie one of the first bits was the picture below. Greg didn’t want people to know he was writing a diary because he thought he would get picked on for it. I think it is a good idea to write a diary to remember things that have happened. Please make sure to read the picture below.

Kindness

untitled (2)

To me, kindness means helping someone if they get pushed down or get hurt. I like it when people help me and be kind to me, so I want to help other people so they feel the same way. When I first moved here from Australia, I didn’t know anyone, but a lot of people showed me around and made me feel welcome. Kindness is important to me because you help people feel happy!

I am thankful for

funny-thanksgiving-pictures-13

I am thankful for Australia and America because they are both good countries. I am thankful for a lot of things like food to eat, water to drink, a house to live in, my family and Thanksgiving feast. We don’t have Thanksgiving in Australia so it is something new for us. It is a fun day. I’m also glad I get to play on the swings at recess.

Harlem Globetrotters

The Harlem Globetrotters are a funny group of basketball players.

Over the years they have played over 20,000 games in 120 countries.

The team started playing in 1926 in Chicago. Their team colors are white, blue and red. Globie is their mascot. Stretch Middleton is their tallest current player. He is 7’4″ tall! He is the third tallest in Globetrotters history.

Their acts often show the players doing cool tricks like passing, juggling, balancing and spinning the ball on their finger tips. And they also make crazy and hard shots.

I went to watch a game at the Moda Centre with my family this year. One guy even stood on the hoop, caught the ball, shot the ball through the hoop then did a flip off the hoop. It was really cool. I also got a Harlem Globetrotters basketball. It was a fun night!

Tiger Shark

The Tiger Shark is a mysterious and sneaky animal. They like to live in warm water because they don’t like the cold. Be very careful if you go out at night near the water because that’s when they come out  and seek their prey. They eat most anything.

Lelooska Field Trip

Cropped-old-man1-e1395200021434

When I woke up in the morning, I felt a little sick. I think it was because I was a little scared. I didn’t know what was going to happen and I didn’t like that. My Mum told me everything would be ok and I would have fun.

I got to school then did 10 minutes of math. Then got ready and got on the bus. I sat next to my friend Walker. We had a toilet break around the corner from Lelooska. We got off the bus and went to the museum first. It was in Washington. We learned the more feathers you have, the more special you are. We heard a story and they danced. The wore costumes and masks. They told us what they were called, but I have forgotten. They were a little funny. They had a fire started and one of them squeaked. It was a thumbs up! I liked it a lot.

Then we got back on the bus. We got off at a park and had lunch. I played on the flying fox and monkey bars. I ran a lot to burn off some energy because I knew we had a long bus ride back to school. We got back on the bus and got back to school.

When we got back to the classroom, I shared my beanie boo raccoon with the class. It was a birthday present from my little brother Dexter.

I liked the Lelooska field trip. Even though I was scared to start with, it was a fun day to remember.

Australia trip

Hi every one. My name is Cooper. I am from Brisbane, Australia. We like to travel a lot. My favorite Australian instrument is the didgeridoo. My favorite Australian food is Hot Cross buns. We eat them on Good Friday at Easter time.

When we go back to Australia for visits, we see lots of family and friends. Because it is usually warm, we go swimming and go to the beach. Sometimes we go to a theme park. Wet n Wild is my favorite. It is full of waterslides and pools. My Poppy takes me out to Dohles Rocks. We play at the park and walk along the water. We see a lot of Pelicans and crabs.

We like to go on family hikes a lot. Dexter goes on Dad’s back in a backpack. We all got wet at the waterfall. It was AWESOME! There were a lot of rocks.in Astralia has Alot of sharcks and beches.
